Game maker King announced today that Crash Bandicoot: On the Run will be discontinued. Since it had only recently debuted in March 2021, the Android and iOS game didn't last very long.

On February 16th, 2023, King declared on its Facebook page that it would shut down the game's servers, at which point you would no longer be able to play. (Eurogamer obtained this information.)

Players have till the final day of the game to use any purple crystals they have acquired because all in-app purchases have already been disabled.

It was a Temple Run-style automatic runner. Players held their phones in portrait orientation and used touch controllers to navigate the furry marsupial from lane to lane while dodging obstacles, breaking boxes, and launching missiles.

Twitter user Festive Charlie reached out (via Crashy News) to King customer support asking about the removal, and a representative responded, “Rest assured though that the adventure is far from over.
