Google Contacts now has access to the "Google Illustrations" tool that was added to Gmail in September 2021 and allows you to create a unique profile picture.

This function once allowed you to design a unique Google profile picture for your account. It is available while modifying any contact in Contacts for Android.

The first tab after "Google Photographs" and "Device photos" is "Illustrations."

The collections (animals, cities and places, food, hobbies and interests, nature, and sports and recreation) are unchanged, but Google has certainly added more to each of the subcategories since launch.

The new "Quick crops" function, which joins the other colour tools that make Google Illustrations incredibly immersive, is available once you've chosen a picture and are in the editor.
