A new AI selfie maker from Picsart enables users to design unique avatars of themselves.

The new technology, called AI Avatar, enables users to produce self-portraits that appear to have been created by a digital artist. Packs of 50, 100, and 200 avatars are available for $3.99, $4.99, and $6.99, respectively.

Artificial intelligence (AI) picture generators have gained popularity recently, and earlier this month, AI photo editing apps dominated the app store charts.

The service provided by Picsart is built on the Stable Diffusion programme, which transforms user photographs into "unique artistic portraits" using cutting-edge machine learning techniques.
