After finishing 11th in the Big Ten in the 2022 season, Maryland women's soccer head coach Meghan Ryan Nemzer has made additions through the transfer portal.

The club introduced sophomore goalie Liz Beardsley and junior midfielder Maggie Fralin on Wednesday.

At the University of Georgia, where she spent her first two seasons, Beardsley started 14 games for the Bulldogs in 2022.

She won plenty of games in net, with a record of 8-5-1, including six shutouts.

Nemzer recruited Beardsley to replace Madeline Smith, Maryland's primary goalkeeper from last season, who will be a senior in 2023.

After spending her first three years playing at the University of Virginia, Fralin will spend her senior year playing for Maryland.

She played on a team that made the NCAA Tournament and was briefly ranked No. 1 in the country during her sophomore season.

Fralin, who was born and raised in Richmond, moved across the District of Columbia to contribute some of her winning expertise to a programme in need of a winning culture.
