New group call features are available on WhatsApp

WhatsApp, a widely used messaging and calling software, has added new features to let callers interact more effectively as a group.

Up to 32 individuals can now be added to a video or phone call that a user starts on their mobile device, which is a four times increase.

The admin can magnify the video or audio stream and silence or message each participant independently while the calls are still active by long pressing on a participant.

The Meta blog states that you may simply invite individuals to a group call by sharing a call link, whether you're making a last-minute call or scheduling one in advance.

For a more seamless calling experience, the calling app has also undergone functional improvements.

Additionally, a feature called "In-call banner notifications" has been added to make it easier to see when a new caller joins a group call.
