Due to a pricing error made by one shop, some Resident Evil fans eagerly anticipating the release of the Resident Evil 4 remake got a fairly amazing deal on the game this week.

Although any attempted purchases are normally returned whenever something similar occurs, the pricing error in question reduced the price of the game by an astonishing 75%.

This isn't entirely the case, though, as the merchant GamersGate has stated that it will really recognise some of these purchases.

As recently noted by Wario64, the pricing issue detected on the GamersGate website was limited to Brazil, with the updated price being R$49.97.

For those who were able to take advantage of the deal before it was patched, the game could be had for an absurdly low price—roughly $10 in USD.

Any of those purchases came with the enormous disclaimer that the sale could be cancelled and reimbursed at any time owing to the significant pricing error.

This week, GamersGate responded to the issue and said that "in some locations" there had been a pricing error and that almost all buyers would receive refunds.
